BBVA and Google team up for tourism data - FT.com

BBVA, Spain’s second-largest bank by assets, is teaming up with Google to use its search engine results to provide advanced forecasts of hotel and tourism demand in the country, part of a plan to market real-time economic indicators to its clients.

  1. Can the data from search results of a given month be relied upon to forecast demands for hotel and tourists? I may be searching for a vacation in France now for the Christmas holidays. I think it will not that be easy, but of course Google knows better.
